Janet Ray

Janet Barnhart Ray, 89, beloved Aunt was called to her eternal resting place on September 12, 2023. She entered this world on November 2, 1933 in Petrolia, PA, born to the late Hugh and Lois Barnhart.

She is survived by her niece Amy Pithers of Raleigh, NC, Janet Donovan of Houston, TX, Kenneth Barnhart of Silver Spring, MD, Mark Whittington of Houston, Tx, Scott Whittington of Greeley, CO, Blake Whittington of Altadena, CA and a number of great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Carl Ray; a brother, Fred Barnhart of Chicora, PA, & a sister, Joanne Whittington of Houston, TX.

Janet was a member of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and Crescent Club. She was very active in the Bahia Shrine where she worked with the Official Family, was Past President of the Greeter’s of Bahia Shrine and a member of the Bahia Shrine Widow’s Club.
