Patricia Brown Schaper

Patricia J. Brown Schaper’s spirit went to be with her Lord and loved ones in heaven, September 18, 2023. Born in Hempstead, NY on January 10, 1929, she was raised by her father William H. Brown and Frances Grodski Brown, sister of her birth mother Emma Brown. Married to Stanley Raymond Schaper (1924-1999) for 48 years.

Pat is survived by her children Penny (Tom) Bitsas, Jack (Agnes) Schaper, Robert Arie (Nancy) Schaper and June (Jeff) Flowers. From five grandchildren, there are sixteen great-grandchildren that have been fully blessed by this gracious, beautiful soul. She is predeceased by her sister Gertrude, “Brownie” Wilbur.

Pat was active in church activities starting as a Sunday school teacher in West Sayville, NY. Pat and Stan retired to Fort Pierce, FL in 1985. She joined a Presbyterian Church and sang in their choir and led bible studies. In 2005, she moved to Maitland, FL and became a Stephen Minister in 2009 at Maitland Presbyterian Church. She sang in the Praise Team and Chancel choirs and was a member of the PW Circle, Lydia, which gave her great joy. Pat wished for everyone she met to know that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior.

Celebrations of life will be held at Maitland Presbyterian Church October 5, at 2 p.m., 341 N. Orlando Ave. Maitland, FL 32751.
