Fred closed his Log Book and made his final trip, a peaceful passing to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 17, 2023. He was 81. Fred was a loving and devoted husband, a supportive and loving father and grandfather, and a cherished friend to all who knew him.
Fred was born at Fernald Lawton Memorial Hospital in Sanford on June 29, 1942. He was raised in Lake Mary by his loving parents, Andrew and Louise Teslo. He attended Lake Mary Schools, All Souls Catholic School and graduated from Seminole High School in 1960. Fred and Alice Fitts were wed in 1967 at All Souls Catholic Church and raised three wonderful children. He was an Air Force veteran and a long distance truck driver, owning and operating his own truck. Fred mostly enjoyed family gatherings, yard sales, fishing, helping people and just enjoying life and having fun.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Louise Teslo; brothers, Jerome, Joseph, Andrew Tesla and Billy Tesla; and sister, Louise Teslo.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his bride, Alice; sisters, Dorothy Teslo and Patricia DiBartolo; children, Pam Johnson, Paul Teslo and Nicole Teslo; his grandchildren, Megan Johnson, Brooke Teslo, Brett Teslo and Brandi Teslo and his great granddaughter, Charleigh Johnson. Also, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Fred’s life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023 at All Souls Historic Chapel, 800 S. Oak Avenue in Sanford.
