Loretta Joyce Sego

L. Joyce (Sanders) Sego passed away on September 20, at the age of 81, in Orlando, FL.

Joyce was born and grew up in Hart County, KY. In 1950, she moved to Louisville, KY where she graduated from duPont Manual High School. She married Donald R. Sego Sr. in May of 1964 in Jeffersonville, IN. Joyce was a long-time employee of First National Bank of Louisville. With her husband, she moved to Orlando, FL in 2015 where she lived the rest of her life. Joyce enjoyed zig saw puzzles, card games, and spending time with her family and friends. Her children remember her as a great mom who played piano, lead the cub scouts, and loved to take them camping and on road trips. Her husband remembers her as “Super Mom.”
Joyce is survived by her husband Donald R. Sego Sr., brother Bobby Sanders, daughter Trina Sego (Shikhar Sarin), son Chris Sego (Rebecca Kroll Sego), and four beautiful grand-daughters Saumya, Sabria, Amiya and Amalia. She is preceded in death by her father Herbert Sanders, mother Ersie (Butler) Sanders, sister Glorena Sanders, son Timothy Sego, and son Don R. “JR” Sego Jr.
A memorial service will be held at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland, FL. Viewing/visitation will be held 2:00-4:00pm. The service will start at 4:00pm and a brief reception will follow.
