Philip Andrew DiSalvo “Andy”, 58, of Altamonte Springs, FL died Sep 12, 2023, after a valiant fight against heart disease and kidney failure. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Warsaw, NY, Andy moved between NY, TN, and GA, eventually settling in Georgia for much of his younger years. He was a championship BMX rider for several years. As he got older, it was in the rolling hills of Georgia, and under the guidance of his 4 older brothers, that he developed his love of motorcycles that would stay with him throughout his life. Despite a serious accident in the early 80s, he was determined to walk again. After a year of physical therapy, he was back on his feet. Shortly thereafter, he was riding again. Nothing could keep him down. Andy moved to Central Florida to be with his mom and 2 younger brothers in the late 80s. There, he was granted a scholarship to Valencia College for computer design. He excelled in the field, became class president and met his two lifelong buddies there. He then went on to do computer networking for BirkHillman Corporation and The Orlando Science Center.
In 1998, he met his last girlfriend, as he liked to say, (Mary Beth), and in January of 2012, they finally decided to make it official and got married. Throughout their 25 years together they enjoyed motorcycle riding as well as pizza and movie nights in. They also loved being the go-to place for family gatherings, and all the big holidays. When all the kids were there, and the place was chaotic, that’s when Andy was the happiest. Andy simply loved having the family around, and especially his granddaughters Justice, Emsley, Ady and Iris. They were the light of his life and what he lived for.
Andy is pre-deceased by his brothers, Allan Goldin, Billy Golden, Steve Goldin and Chris DiSalvo.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Norton, sons Christopher DiSalvo and Aaron DiSalvo, and granddaughters, Justice DiSalvo Lolley, Emsley DiSalvo, Ady Stinson, and Iris DiSalvo. He also leaves behind brothers Vic DiSalvo, Tommy Goldin, Lee DiSalvo, Danny DiSalvo, Sam DiSalvo, and sister in laws, Sherry (Golden) Hullett and Vicky Golden, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
