Missing 80-year-old man found after hours of ‘intense searching’

A man who went missing in St. Cloud was found after hours of intense searching by local authorities.

After he was declared missing, St. Cloud Fire Rescue and St. Cloud Police Department crews worked for hours to locate Abreu. Osceola County Sheriff’s Office STAR units and K-9 teams from both OCSO and Brevard County Sheriff’s Office joined in on the search.

Air and ground units were used to patrol the area and Abreu was found on Friday afternoon.

“We are happy to report that Jose Luna Abreu has been located, has been reunited with family,” reads a statement from the St. Cloud Police Department.

Abreu was found in a wooded area and was given medical treatment by responding EMTs.
