Switchfoot taking stage at House of Blues this weekend

Switchfoot will take the stage at the House of Blues next weekend to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their most popular album.

The concert will be on Sunday, October 8, at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. at the House of Blues, which is located at 1490 E. Buena Vista Drive in Orlando.

After early successes in the Christian rock scene, Switchfoot first gained mainstream recognition with the inclusion of four of their songs in the 2002 movie A Walk to Remember. This recognition led to their major label debut, The Beautiful Letdown, which was released in 2003 and featured the hits “Meant to Live” and “Dare You to Move”. The album sold over 2.6 million copies.

The band has since been noted for its energetic live shows, with lead singer, Jon Foreman, making his way through the crowd as fans belt out the group’s hits. The band’s seventh studio album, Hello Hurricane, received a Grammy award in 2011 for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album.

For more information on the show, or to purchase tickets, visit the Switchfoot event page through the House of Blues.
