Darin Lee Lewis

Darin Lee Lewis born May 15, 1971, in Orlando, Florida, began his journey filled with promise and potential. He was the son of Johnnie Kinchen and Mary Dorothy Lewis.

Darin fondly known as “MAN” by family and friends was educated in the Public Schools of Orange County. He attended Evans High School. There he was on the football team.

Darin entered the working force early in his life. He embarked upon employment with jobs including: Popeye’s, IHop, Driver for Romans Foods and Hughes Supply Warehouse forklift operator. His most recent employment was a Landscaper for the City of Altamonte.

Darin married Bonita Marimon in 1998. They remained married for twelve years. After being apart for several years Darin and Bonita found a second chance at first love. They became fiancés again and were planning a December 2023 wedding.

Throughout his life, Darin found solace in the simple pleasures. From engaging in video games, working out and taking road trips to showcasing his culinary skills on the grill. He found joy in the everyday moments. His greatest joys were fishing and biking. He has enjoyed riding a bike since childhood. He also had a great love for trucks of all kind especially semi trucks. Darin enjoyed listening to music the louder the better. He wanted to be sure that everyone heard it too.

As we reflect upon Darin’s legacy, we acknowledge the countless lives he touched and inspired. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness endeared him to all who crossed his path. Darin’s genuine friendship extended beyond bloodlines, cultivating a special bond with his dear friends, Rodney and Tyrone. Tyrone introduced him to Bonita.

Recently Darin had begun to draw nearer to God. He began attending church and reading the Bible. He had made the decision to join and fellowship with River of Life Church. All of the earthly things are behind Darin now. He traded earth for eternity on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Kinchen, brother Arthur Kinchen, mother-in-law Zeola Steele, and uncle Johnny Bennett.

Darin leaves to forever cherish his memories his loving and devoted fiance Bonita Marimon Lewis, his son Ryan Devonte’ Lewis, granddaughter Delilah Lewis. Mother Mary Dorothy Lewis, brothers Rodney Lewis and Alvin Kinchen, sisters Audrey Lewis Davis (Kevin), Dorothy Lewis, Iris Green and Andrea Lewis, aunts Alberta Bennett and Katherine Bennett and special friends Tyrone Ivey and Rodney Thompson. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
