Jayson Ortiz was born on October 28 1977 to his parents Angel Ortiz and Maria Valezquez in St. Luke’s Roosevelt hospital in Manhattan New York, he spent most of his childhood and early adulthood in the Bronx. He graduated from satellite high school school 1997 .
He aspired to be an artist, but his passion for history and teaching led him to psychology in college. He attended Bronx Community College. He had many interests from clothing to sneakers to street art and had many different careers until he worked for the port authority for NY/NJ for 10 years as Certification Supervisor for the department of Diversity & inclusion, he worked hard to get what he wanted and be where he was at in his career .
Jayson Enjoyed family fun nights cracking jokes watching movies and playing Monopoly he loved listening to music and his podcast. He loved fashion and working out, he was a loving father to his kids and would go above and beyond for them. Jayson gave us the best of him and he always tried his best to be better than he was the day before. Let us celebrate his life and remember and share the good times. Rest in Peace you will be missed.
Jayson was preceded in death by his mother Maria Valezquez , Grandfather Carlos Ortiz and Jerry Ruiz.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, daughter Avalina Ortiz, son Cameron Ortiz, sister Monica Ortiz, grandmother Alejandra Ortiz, father Angel Ortiz, aunt Janet Gargiulo, cousins Tiffany Gargiulo, Matthew Gargiulo, Jillian Rodriguez , Louis Gargiulo and best friend Almando Lugo.
