A low-fare airline has started a new, nonstop route to central Wisconsin, marking the first time the Orlando International Airport has served that particular airport.
On October 5, Avelo Airlines began a new, nonstop service from Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) to the Orlando International Airport. The route operates twice weekly on Thursday and Sunday.
Introductory one-way fares between the airports will start at $49.
CWA is located in Mosinee, between Stevens Point and Wausau in the heart of Wisconsin.
“We are excited to announce exclusive nonstop service to Orlando…With the addition of Wisconsin to Avelo’s nationwide route network, Avelo will now serve half the United States,” said Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Founded in 2021, Avelo has flown nearly three million customers on over 20,000 flights since its inception. Currently, the airline serves 46 destinations across over two dozen states, all with nonstop flights. The company says it allows all of its customers the ability to change or cancel their itineraries with no extra fees.
