Howard Leonard Glover, Sr., 74, of Orlando, departed this life on Monday, October 2, 2023. Bubba, as he was affectionately known, was born on October 21, 1948 in Winter Park, FL to the late Thelma and Arthur Glover. Howard graduated from Hungerford Prep High School and later attended Florida A&M University, Tallahassee.

Howard enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1974. During his military service, he faught in the Vietnam war and earned a National Defense Service Medal, in addition to a Vietnam Service Medal. After his military service, he worked as a landscaper.

Howard was a dedicated family man. He loved spending time with his beloved grandchildren and attending family gatherings. He instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of his children and family to follow. Bubba was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Howard is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Dawson Glover; 4 daughters, Toshia (Teddy) Parrish, Turkessa Glover, Jaimi Glover, Briana Glover; 6 sons, Antonio (Tamara) Glover, Howard (Aperal) Glover Jr., Brandon Glover, Jarius Glover, Jamauri Glover, Jarrelle Glover; 4 sisters, Jeanelle (Theotis) Bronson, Rosemary (Melvin) Webb, Merrill (Judson) Glover-Gamble, Tina Rutherford; 3 brothers, Arthur (Sally) Glover, Walter (Gina) Glover, Jerome Glover; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the mortuary.

A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 412 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Eatonville with Reverend Aubrey Hayslip, officiating. Interment: Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL with full military honors.
