Teenage girl killed while walking on Orlando sidewalk identified

Orlando police have identified a teenaged girl who was shot in the back and killed while she was walking on a sidewalk near Curry Ford Road.

Anguely Rodriguez-Torres, 18, was identified by the Orlando Police Department on Monday in connection with the fatal shooting, which took place on Saturday, October 21, at around 3 p.m.

According to OPD, Rodriguez-Torres and a man were walking on a sidewalk near the intersection of Curry Ford Road and Bel Air Avenue on October 21, just before 3 p.m.

Rodriguez-Torres and the man were approached by another man who claimed to know them. A brief argument ensued and the suspect shot Rodriguez-Torres in the back.

The suspect, who has not been identified by police, fled from the scene on foot.

Rodriguez-Torres was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition and later died from her injuries.

Orlando police are still looking for the suspect and are asking the public for any information that may help lead to his capture.
