Reginald is survived by his wife Jean Sterns, Winter Garden, Fl; son Reggie Sterns III of Winter Garden, step daughter Cheryl Rogers Peach of Winter Garden, 12 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death his by father Reginald Heber Sterns I; mother Elsie Sterns; sister Elsie Schneck; son Mark Sterns; daughter Mary Sterns Whidden; step daughter Shelly Rogers Clark.
Flip was born June 16, 1926 in New York City, N. Y. To Heber and Elsie. He was raised in the Republic of Panama where he spent most of his childhood. He moved to St. Petersburg Florida in 1942, enlisted in the Navy in 1944 during World War 2 as a Signalman on the ship. After leaving the Navy he went on to The University of Florida.
In 1951 he moved to the City Of Winter Garden where he opened and owned the Western Auto Store on Plant Street Downtown, and was a merchant there for 33 years before he retired. For the remainder of his years he resided in Winter Garden, FL, a place he loved to call home.
Flips wishes was not to have a service, however, he was very passionate about preserving the history of the City Of Winter Garden, therefore, if you would like to donate to the Heritage Center in his name, it would be greatly received and appreciated.
