Gary S. DuBois of Winter Springs, FL passed away peacefully at home on October 14th, 2023, at the age of 69. For four years, he bravely and without complaint lived with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a rare and debilitating brain disease for which there is no cure.
Gary is survived by his wife of 33 years, Bernadette, their children Gregory and Stephanie of Winter Springs, his mother Marion DuBois of Lake Katrine, NY, his sister Sandra Osina of Kingston, NY, and his brother Mark DuBois (Laurie) of Woodstock, NY. He is preceded in death by his father Merlin “Dutch” DuBois of Glenford, NY.
Gary was born on July 6th,1954, in Kingston, NY. He spent his younger years in Glenford, NY, a small town in the Catskill Mountains overlooking the Ashokan Reservoir. He graduated from Onteora High School in 1972, then attended Bryant University where he graduated in 1976 with a bachelors of science in Business Administration. He went on to have a successful career as an Account Executive and top salesman in the computer technology industry for companies such as Tektronix, SunGard, and Dell.
He enjoyed travel, cars, running, coin collecting, and working on his yard, but mostly loved spending time with his family whom he cherished.
Gary was a man of excellent character, our beloved hero, and will be greatly missed by us all.
