“My father Antonio Jose Gomez (78) passed away peacefully on October 13th, 2023, with his wife of fifty-one years, Elda, their only son Camilo, daughter in law Cindy, and granddaughter Isabella lovingly by his side. He would have celebrated his 79th birthday ten days after his death.
Born October 23rd, 1944 to Regina and Heberto Gomez, Antonio was born and lived his young life in Cartagena, Colombia with his two sisters Victoria, and Stella, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Antonio and wife Elda migrated to the United States in 1971 to pursue prosperity and greater opportunities.
Antonio was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a very hard worker, a generous human being, loyal to his wife and family, and very brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences.
Antonio is survived by his wife Elda Gomez, his only son Camilo Gomez, daughter in law Cynthia Gomez, and his only grandchild Isabella Gomez.
My Dad has finally re-joined his two siblings and all of his deceased ancestors in the glorious afterlife. He will always be remembered for the wonderful heart he shared with his friends and family as he truly loved each and every one of them. When his time came, he carried himself with proud dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. We love you Dad and you will be missed dearly.”
