A local playhouse will present its rendition of Matilda the Musical beginning this week.
The Theatre South Playhouse will host the musical beginning Thursday, November 2, through Sunday, November 19. Shows are scheduled for 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m., and 9 p.m. at the playhouse, which is located at 7601 Della Drive in Orlando.
Matilda the Musical is the story of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.
In celebration of its fifteenth year, the theater is bringing this popular hit production back to stage.
Event organizers say visitors will experience the musical in the immersive intimacy of the group’s small theater and discover a whole other side to the popular story.
