A comedian who starred in a movie trilogy alongside Jackie Chan that generated nearly $850 million in box office ticket sales will bring his tour to Orlando this month.

Chris Tucker will perform at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (445 S. Magnolia Avenue) on Wednesday, November 15, at 8 p.m. as part of “The Legend Tour 2023.”

An internationally recognized, award-winning actor, producer, and comedian, Tucker made his debut as a stand-up performer on the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam.

In 1998, Tucker took on his most famous role as Detective James Carter in the blockbuster action comedy Rush Hour. The success of the movie spawned two sequels, and the trilogy allegedly netted Tucker nearly $50 million in salary.

Tucker has appeared in multiple movies and TV shows over the years, including a role in Air, a movie that follows the rise of Nike that was released earlier this year.

For those interested in attending the show, organizers are advising that the event is cell phone-free. Each guest agrees to place his/her phone in a locked pouch, which the guest will keep throughout the evening. Anyone caught using a cell phone during the show will be ejected from the venue.
