U.S. Military Veteran Walter Ronald Marsden passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his home on October 30, 2023 at the age of 88.
Walter Marsden is survived by his wife Marilyn Marsden, his two sons Daniel Marsden and Jerald Marsden, his grandchildren Savannah Marsden, Ronald Marsden, Raina Marsden and Nikki Marsden and his great granddaughter Analeia Marsden. All located in Orlando, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his first son Ronald John Marsden in Wisconsin on December 5th, 1981, his mother Marcella and his sister Evelyn.
Walter Marsden was born on February 25th, 1935 in Chicago Illinois to his mother Marcella and his father Walter. He left highschool after one year and obtained his G.E.D. Walter attended wood working school in Marshfield Wisconsin. He spent many years with his own businesses of retail and skateboards/bicycles and eventually opened up a popular skatepark in Orlando, Florida called Badlands Skatepark. Walter was very knowledgeable in many areas of life and spent a lot of time reading and learning new things.
Walter Marsden was also a United States Military Veteran who fought combat in the Korean War. He was in the special forces, airborne. He received a purple heart for getting a shrapnel in his head during combat. He received many medals and badges such as Purple heart, good conduct, national defense, Korean service, sharp shooter and combat infantry. Anyone that knew him knew that he was a strong and fearless man and always followed his goals and his dreams.
Walter Married his beautiful wife Marilyn Marsden at the ages of 27 and 21 in Chicago Illinois and had three beautiful boys within 5 years. They moved to Florida for two years and moved back to Wisconsin for 16 years and then they moved to Florida permanently in 1989.
Walter loved traveling in his RV with his wife. He always wanted to keep exploring more of the world. They traveled through all 50 states in the U.S. and even explored Canada. He loved to dance to 50s rock n roll music and Jerry Lee. Lewis was his absolute favorite. They made many beautiful memories that Marilyn will always cherish.
Walter was a very good hearted man and always wanted to help anyone in need even if he thought tipping more than two dollars at a restaurant was crazy. He was a strong and selfless man. Walter was so very loved by his family. This world will never be the same without him and he took a piece of our heart when he left us to join his first son in heaven.
A celebration of life is scheduled for November 17th of 2023 at Degusipe Funeral Home Of Maitland. U.S active Military will be joining the service to give him his final salute.
