Wayne Carl Miller, 77 of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away on Saturday October 28th, due to health complications. Wayne was born and raised in Iowa, but fell in love with Florida and resided there for 3 decades.
He also loved our country and was a proud veteran of the United States Army with service during Vietnam. Wayne had a servant’s heart and was a joy to everyone who knew him. On Sundays he enjoyed ushering at First Baptist Church of Kissimmee. He loved going on trips to the beach, cruises, and anything that involved spending time with his family. He also looked forward to watching Florida State University and the University of Iowa football games. Brunches that would take hours, especially if there was sea food present, was another favorite thing to do with his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and an adoring grandfather. His warm greetings to family and friends will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Vicki Sanders Mitchell of Kissimmee, FL; sons Brad Miller (Sara) of Cedar Falls, IA, Matthew Miller (Erica) of Tiffin, IA, Ryan Miller (Kala) of Cedar Falls, IA; sisters Eileen Cheney (Craig) of Greene, IA and Sandy Clemons of Wichita, KS; mother-in-law Othel Sanders of Panama City, FL; and daughter-in-law Mollyana Ward (Gordie) of Land o Lakes, FL; He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents George & Maxine Miller, brother Jeff Miller, and step-son Rick A. Ward.
Wayne and Vicki have rescued many dogs over the years and this is a passion they shared.
