A Texas-based donut franchise has opened its first location in Florida.
Shipley Do-Nuts celebrated its grand opening at 2255 S. Semoran Boulevard in east Orlando on Monday, November 13.
The new location is one of two planned for Orlando, with another establishment “coming soon” to 5919 S Orange Blossom Trail.
Shipley Do-Nuts features over 60 varieties of donuts, including a large collection of specialty flavors like white iced coconut, chocolate iced with walnuts, and apple-filled.

In addition to donuts, the chain also offers multiple types of rolls, as well as Kolaches filled with sausage and cheese.
Founded by Lawrence Shipley, Sr., in Houston, Texas over 80 years ago, Shipley Do-Nuts still uses the “original recipe for hot, fresh, handcrafted do-nuts” that the founder developed in 1936.
As of November, there are more than 350 locations throughout the country. The vast majority of those locations are located in the southeast.
Shipley Do-Nuts is open seven days a week, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
