Vietnamese restaurant fails health inspection after roaches found on cook line

A Vietnamese restaurant in Winter Springs was temporarily closed after it was cited for six high-priority health code violations, including the presence of live roaches.

Pho Au Lac Restaurant and Teahouse was temporarily closed on Tuesday, November 7, after the business was cited for 16 health code violations, including 6 considered “high priority.”

According to a report filed with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, roach excrement was found on shelf supports over a sink, and at least 13 live roaches were found in various places around the kitchen during the inspection.

The restaurant was permitted to reopen the following day, Wednesday, November 8. During a follow-up inspection, it was cited for four basic violations and one intermediate violation.

Pho Au Lac Restaurant and Teahouse is located at 158 Tuskawilla Road, Suite 1300, in the Winter Springs Town Center.
