An 82-year-old man was released bail this week after he was arrested for allegedly being in possession of dozens of files depicting child pornography of subjects as young as three years old.
David Stock, of DeLand, was arrested on Tuesday, November 14, after he turned himself into the Volusia County Branch Jail.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided the agency with a tip following an alert that child pornographic material had been shared online.
Detectives used that tip to execute a search warrant on Stock’s home at 1011 E. University Avenue in DeLand. During their search, detectives seized multiple cell phones, computers, laptops, a camera, and hard drives.
A preliminary forensic examination revealed several photos of sexual exploitation of girls estimated to range in age from 3 to 13 years old, according to VCSO.
Stock has been charged with 23 counts of possession of sexual performance by a child. According to jail records, Stock was booked on Tuesday at 7:42 p.m. and was released just past midnight on Wednesday after posting bail on $115,000 bond.
