Orlando man ejected after vehicle overturns multiple times in fatal accident

A 24-year-old Orlando man who was attempting to pass another vehicle on a local roadway was killed after he lost control of his vehicle and was ejected.

The fatal accident took place near the intersection of County Road 526 and Tyler Avenue on Thursday, November 23, at around 9:24 p.m.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2012 Honda Civic westbound on CR 526/Old Winter Garden Road, just east of Tyler Avenue, when he attempted to pass traffic and entered the left lane.

As a result, he overcorrected, lost control of the vehicle, and collided with the back of a 2019 Dodge Charger being driven by a 31-year-old Orlando woman.

After the collision, the Civic overturned multiple times and the man was ejected from the vehicle.

The vehicle came to final rest overturned on its roof on the side of the roadway. The driver was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

The other driver was not injured in the crash.
