Car seen swerving, speeding before crashing into pole in fatal accident

A 31-year-old Orlando man was killed after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a light pole and railroad crossing sign off Orange Avenue.

The fatal accident took place near the intersection of S Orange Avenue and Jetport Drive on Wednesday, November 22 at around 1:46 p.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man was traveling southbound on S Orange Avenue, approaching Jetport Drive in the outside lane.

According to witnesses, the vehicle was seen swerving and traveling above the posted speed limit before the man lost control and drove off the right side of the roadway.

After driving off the roadway, the vehicle struck a light pole and a railroad crossing warning sign.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
