No injuries were reported after an airplane that was landing at the Orlando International Airport blew a tire on the runway.
The incident took place on Wednesday, November 22, at the airport, which is located at 1 Jeff Fuqua Boulevard.
According to a report from the Florida Aviation Administration, Southwest flight SWA915 originally departed from Amarillo, Texas for Austin, Texas at 7:06 a.m. CST.
The plane, which was a Boeing 737-700, arrived in Austin at 8:26 a.m. CST, and departed for Orlando at approximately 9:15 a.m. CST.
As the plane was landing, the aircraft blew a tire, which caused “damage to the wing,” according to the FAA report.
The plane completed its landing at 12:26 p.m. and was taxied into the gate at the airport at 12:44 p.m.
Approximately 139 passengers were onboard the plane at the time of the incident, as well as 5 flight crew members.
No injuries were reported.
