November 16th, 2023 marked a deeply sorrowful moment for us as we’ve encountered an unparalleled heartache. Clinton Reginald Brooks, at the age of 95, peacefully departed from this world after succumbing to a sudden illness. Nevertheless, we find solace in the fact that he lived a truly meaningful life and found comfort in the presence of his beloved family during his final moments.
Clinton was born on November 25th, 1927 to his parents Stanley and Roslyn Brooks. He was raised in Manchester, Jamaica and later migrated to Kingston, Jamaica, where he lived for 50 + years. He enjoyed watching cricket and spending time with his wife Viola Brooks, children and grandchildren. After his wife’s passing, he moved to Orlando, Florida to reside with his daughter Neuva McMillan (Patsy) and to also be closer to family. While living in Florida, he became fond of the outdoors and traveling on road trips. He loved waking up every morning and watering his precious garden.
Clinton Brooks spent most of his career as a highly praised electrical engineer at Seprod. He worked for the company for 20 years before retiring. Despite his professional accomplishments, those who knew him would describe him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Clinton Brooks was a man of many qualities and lyrics, and his presence will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his brothers Roy (Aldith) Brooks and Raphael Brooks; daughters, Neuva (James) Brooks-McMillan, and Carol Brooks; Sons Easton (Sylvia) Brooks and Lloyd Brooks. Leaving a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren that he loved and adored.
