He was preceded in death by his wife Vera, his parents, Clarence and Dorotha; and his sisters Carol, Kay, and Judy.

Gary was born in Columbus, Indiana. He and Vera were married in 1970. Gary’s career in the U.S. Army included tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam, working in infantry and in airborne. His later years in the Army were in recruiting. After retiring from the military in 1980 and relocating to Florida, he held physical security positions with various defense contractors at the Kennedy Space Center and held other security jobs.

Gary loved the Lord Jesus Christ and bore witness to his faith for many years and to many. people. He enjoyed being with family and friends, especially when cookouts and games of euchre were involved. He enjoyed watching tv westerns, listening to country gospel music and supporting various Christian ministries. He was always generous with his time, his money, and his stories. He had an infectious laugh and made friends wherever he went.

Second only to his love for the Lord, Gary most of all loved his wife, Vera, who preceded him in death by only a few days.
