Teen found shot to death on sidewalk in Oviedo

Law enforcement authorities are investigating the homicide of a teenage victim that they found dead on a sidewalk at an Oviedo apartment complex.

Seminole County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 2000 block of Mystic Lake Drive at the Mystic Cove Apartments in unincorporated Oviedo on Thursday, November 30, at around 11:45 p.m.

According to a statement by SCSO, upon arrival, deputies discovered a man who had had been shot. The male, who has since been identified as 18-year-old Isaiah Anthony Perez, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A perimeter was established, but no suspect was located. Authorities say that they do not believe this was a random act of violence, but rather, an isolated incident.
