Volusia detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that took place over the weekend and claimed the life of a 50-year-old man.
Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of an incident in the front yard of a home at 808 S. Massachusetts Avenue in DeLand on Saturday, December 2, at around 10:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, deputies found an unconscious, adult male victim who was suffering from gunshot wounds in the front yard of the home.
The man, who was later identified as Hector Hernandez Pasquale, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No further information was released by authorities regarding the incident, and there are no suspects at this time.
