Joan Ellen Gass, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 81. She was born on December 7, 1941 to Joseph and Violet Pollock, in Yonkers, NY. Joan peacefully departed this world at her home in Apopka, FL, surrounded by the love of her family.
Joan lived a fulfilling life dedicated to the well being of her loved ones and her community. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring the safety of others, she served as a manager in the airport security industry. Her commitment and professionalism made a lasting impact on her colleagues and those she protected. Having earned an Associate’s Degree the Arts, Joan continually pursued knowledge and self-improvement. She firmly believed that education is a lifelong journey, an ethos she instilled in her children and all those fortunate enough to know her.
Joan leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Gass, her son Eric Gass, and her daughter’s Laura Jean Gass/Arnold and Amy Sue Gass. She also is survived by bunch of wonderful Grandchildren that includes Amanda, Mikael, Stevie Rain, Dylan & Dustin Gass and her Great Grandchildren Teagan, Riley, Ezekiel. Each of them cherishes the memories of a phenomenal woman who brought warmth, laughter, and unwavering support to their lives.
Though we mourn the loss of our dear Joan, let us remember her with smiles and laughter, celebrating a life well-lived. The family expresses their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Joan’s favorite charity.
