Mai Hoàng Đinh, 58, passed away on December 1, 2023, in Orlando, Florida while surrounded by family and friends. She had been diagnosed with cancer six months prior.
Mai was born on January 19, 1965, in Bảo Lộc, Vietnam to Việt Xuân Đinh and Hiệp Tân Tiết. She was the second oldest in her family of seven. On November 15, 1985, she married Hồng Đức Vũ and moved to Saigon. They welcomed their first son, Nam Quốc Vũ, in 1986. Mai emigrated with her family from Vietnam in 1987 and lived on the refugee camp in Palawan, Philippines for nearly three years. There she gave birth to a second son, Tuấn Quốc Vũ. In 1989 they moved to the United States and lived in California’s San Francisco Bay Area for many years before relocating to Orlando, Florida in 2001.
Mai was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved doting on and caring for her grandson, Vincent. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, spending time with, and cooking delicious foods for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, devotion, and unconditional love.
She is preceded in death by her father and by her younger brother, Sơn Hoàng Đinh.
Mai is survived by her mother, Hiệp; her husband, Hồng; her two sons, Nam (Rose) and Tuấn; her grandson, Vincent; her older brother, Tuấn (Đào), her four younger sisters, Thúy (Khang), Nga (Khánh), Ánh (Tấn), and Vân (Tân); as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and beloved friends who will miss her dearly.
A viewing and service for family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 10 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at A Community Funeral Home and Sunset Cremations at 910 West Michigan Street, Orlando, Florida 32805.
