A shooting this morning that left two individuals injured has resulted in the temporary closure of northbound lanes on a busy stretch of Orange Blossom Trail.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the 4100 block of South Orange Blossom Trail just before 7 a.m. this morning in response to calls regarding shots fired.
Upon arrival, deputies located two victims who were suffering from gunshot wounds. Both individuals were transported to a local hospital. Their condition was not provided by police.
Hours after the incident, police provided clarification that one of the individuals was a female and the other was male.
Two male suspects were taken into custody for the shooting. Both of those suspects were transported to a local hospital. Similarly, deputies did not indicate the extent of their injuries and did not identify the suspects.
The shooting caused the closure of northbound traffic lanes of S. Orange Blossom Trail at Holden Avenue for several hours on Monday.
Detectives say they do not have any additional information to release.
