Efrain R Garcia died peacefully on December 9th, 2023 in Orlando Florida at the age of 85.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Tita Garcia; his 7 children, Elizabeth Garcia, Brenda (Carlos) Chapparo, Blanca (Salvador) Becerril, Milagro Garcia, Joel (Susan) Garcia, Evelyn (Carlos) Santos, Sarai (Alfonso) Perez; his 14 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first born son, Efrain Garcia Jr.
Efrain Garcia was born on June 18, 1938 to his parents Mr. & Mrs. Celestino Garcia in Naguabo, Puerto Rico. He moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1952, where he married his sweetheart Tita Garcia, in 1959. He began his career as a heavy machine operator, where he was a member of the Tool Pipefitters union of the United SteelWorkers of America (Local 1010). He retired after 33 years, as a Superintendent at Inland Steel Industries Inc.
Visitation is scheduled on Monday December, 18 at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Bethel Church, 1425 Renee Ave, Orlando, Florida.
A funeral is scheduled on Tuesday December, 19 2023 at 12 p.m. Queen of Angels cemetery, 1901 Queen of Angels Drive, Winter Park, FL. Pastor Eli Bonilla and Pastor Dwight Miranda will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Efrain Garcia.
