A local library will host a free showing of Anastasia this week as part of its Family Movie Night series.
The Seminole County Public Library System will host a showing of the children’s movie on Wednesday, December 27 starting at 5:30 p.m. at its West Branch library, which is located at 245 N Hunt Club Blvd., in Longwood.
The movie follows the evil wizard Rasputin who puts a hex on the royal Romanovs and young Anastasia, who disappears when the palace is overrun. Years later, the Grand Duchess offers a reward for Anastasia’s return. Two scheming Russians, planning to pawn off a phony, hold auditions and choose an orphan girl with a remarkable resemblance to the missing princess. They bring her to Paris for the reward, not knowing she’s the real Anastasia.
