A fire spread quickly through the back of a home in Casselberry as a result of what emergency crews deemed “hoarding conditions.”
Seminole County Fire Department crews responded to reports of a structure fire on Colony Drive in Casselberry just past 8 p.m. on December 31.
Upon arrival, crews found flames emanating from the back of the home and observed that the fire had spread to a shed in the backyard.
According to a statement from SCFD, the home exhibited “hoarding conditions” and, as a result, the fire spread “fast.”
The fire caused extensive damage to the back of the home, the shed, and a neighbor’s shed and siding.
All of the occupants of the home were able to safely evacuate and there were no injuries reported.
