Luz Delia Donato, more commonly known as Ma, 83, passed away on December 19, 2023 while surrounded by family and was called home to Heaven.
Ma was born on September 16, 1940 in Loiza, Puerto Rico. She came to New York when she was a little girl with her family. She had 3 beautiful children Jose, Luz, and Emily, whom she raised alongside the love of her life, Tomas Hernandez.
Ma was a strong willed, sassy, yet undeniably compassionate individual that loved other unconditionally. To know Ma, is to love her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loves cooking and caring for others. Encounters with Ma were always full of happiness and laughter and her presence lit up a room. She passed down her wisdoms, as she was full of knowledge from her experiences and life lessons. Ma was always someone that you can count on to be in your corner and support/ guide you every step of the way. She welcomed everyone with open arms and her warm heart. Ma will be remembered for her sense of humor, compassion, generosity, strength, and unconditional love.
Ma is survived by her husband, Tomas Hernandez; her son, Jose Donato; her granddaughters Ivelissa Gonzalez, Leonie Jones, Tiffany Marquez, Ariana Donato, and Amanda Donato; her great granddaughters Aliyah Gonzalez, Alyssa Gonzalez, and Sanaa Jones; in addition to beloved extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family invites family, friends, and loved ones to join them in celebrating Ma’s life, and to carry the light of her love.
A memorial service will be held on January, 3 at 6 p.m. at A Community Funeral Home & Sunset Cremations, located at 910 W. Michigan St. in Orlando.
