Man who shot other man in leg during dispute cooperating with Casselberry police

Casselberry police are currently investigating the circumstances around a dispute between two men that left one of them with a gunshot wound in the leg.

Casselberry Police Department officers responded to the area of Wilshire Drive and Mark David Boulevard in reference to a shooting at around 5:46 a.m. on Thursday.

According to a statement from CPD, during a dispute between two men, one of the individuals shot the other in the leg.

Responding officers provided first aid to the individual before he was transported to a local hospital. His condition was not provided, but his injuries were described as “non-life threatening.”

The individual who fired the shot remained at the scene and cooperated with invesgators.

According to CPD, no arrests have been made and the firearm involved in the incident has been taken into evidence. Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
