Law enforcement authorities have arrested a 26-year-old man who they believe is responsible for a fatal shooting at a hookah bar on Christmas Day.
Gabriel Alberto Correa was arrested on Wednesday, January 3, in Polk County, on multiple felony charges in connection with the homicide of Terrell Williams, who was found shot to death on December 25, 2023.
On that day, deputies responded to LUNGO Café at 3262 Vineland Road in Kissimmee at around 4:50 a.m. in reference to a shooting. Williams was declared deceased at the scene and his death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner’s office.
During an investigation by Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detectives, surveillance video of the shooting and other evidence left at the scene tied the homicide back to Correa.
Correa now faces charges of murder with a firearm, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, discharging a firearm in public, and improper exhibition of a firearm.
“My homicide detectives did a fantastic job tracking down and locating the suspect. They were determined and dedicated to solving this case and providing a rapid resolution to the community. I want to thank my deputies, the Violent Crime Unit, Tactical Unit, Narcotics Enforcement Team, Tourist Policing Unit, Osceola Narcotics Investigation Bureau, and the State Attorney’s Office for solving this case,” said Sheriff Marcos Lopez in a statement.
