Cooking class for kids at Orlando library

Children are invited to a free cooking class at the library to learn the basics of kitchen safety and cooking.

Little Chef at the Library will be on Wednesday, January 17, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Orlando Public Library (101 E Central Blvd.).

The class will teach cooking skills including kitchen safety, layering, measuring, smearing, tasting, and presenting food. Children will also learn about fruits and create a special cookie treat featuring fruits of all colors.

The event is recommended for children ages 3 to 5.
