The Orlando Public Library will host an 8-week improvisation course beginning this weekend.
The classes will take place on Sundays, starting January 21, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Orlando Public Library (101 E Central Blvd.).
The 8-week course explores scene elements and introduces students to short-form improv games. Students will learn to build the necessary performance skills to elevate scenes, characters, and storytelling.
Improvisation is a performing art and a skill used for team building, leadership, and communication. Students will learn to listen, react authentically, and perform without a script, writing, directing, and editing their performance as they go.
Each Improv series is free for Orange County property owners and anyone with an active Orange County Library card. The class duration is 3 hours and is for adults and teens ages 14 and older.
