Mahendra Jaygobin, was born on March 16, 1951, in Port Louis, Mauritius. He passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mahendra is the son of late Roopchand and Oomawtee Jaygobin. He was the loving husband of Taramatee Jaygobin, proud father of Karishma Sonia Vishudanand, father in law of Yashpaul Vishudanand and a magnificent Grandfather (MooMoo) to Arjun and Aadhya Vishudanand. Mahendra had many dreams and aspirations. He wanted to become a pilot for many years, however, ended up as a paramedic, a carer and a very respected Healthcare worker due to his caring and loving nature.
He was a truly hardworking man who never let anything get to him. He enjoyed spending quality time with his daughter and wife, and would occasionally take spontaneous trips all over the world. His backyard was his passion, loved planting almost everything and anything. Everyone who knew Mahendra would tell you he was a kind and helpful person, a friend you could always count on, any time of day or night.
He never knew how to say “No”, as he believed that there was always a way of making things happen. He was always there as a father figure to all his nieces and nephews too. A true role model who knew how to keep his composure and calm during stressful and challenging times. ~My loving dad, may the tears I shed for you today be a constant reminder that you will always be alive in my heart.
