Myrna Bortell died peacefully January 3, 2024 in Altamonte Springs, Florida at the age of 79.

Myrna was born July 25, 1944 to Anthony and Mercedes Alcala in Chicago, Illinois.

Myrna graduated from Chicago Vocational School in January, 1962, where she met the love of her life and future husband Donald “Wade” Bortell. They were married
February 1, 1964.

Myrna held several positions in the secretarial field before relocating in 1983 with her family from Chicago to the Orlando area to begin a construction business, Mill-It Corporation with other business partners. She remained a co-owner of that business with remaining partner, Ben Guzman, until her death.

Myrna is predeceased by her parents and her older brother, David.

Myrna is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Donald “Wade” Bortell of Longwood, Florida and her two children, Kimberly of Orlando, Florida and Brian (Sherry) of Apopka, Florida.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor February 3, 2024 at Highland Manor, 604 E Main St, Apopka, FL 32703 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
