Static-X and Sevendust will bring their Machine Killer Tour to the Orlando Amphitheatre at the Central Florida Fairgrounds this week.
The bands will take the stage on Friday, February 2, from 6:15 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, which is located at 4603 W. Colonial Dr. in Orlando.
Static-X is a metal band that rose to fame with their 1999 debut album, Wisconsin Death Trip, where their heavy industrial metal sound attracted attention within the burgeoning nu metal movement. With the album eventually going platinum in the United States, the band released five more albums over the course of the next decade: Machine, Shadow Zone, Start a War, Cannibal, and Cult of Static. The band’s first six albums have sold over three million copies worldwide. After Wayne Static, one of the band’s founders, died in 2014, they took a break. Later, the band announced they were reforming the band in Static’s honor and released Regeneration Vol. 1 and Regeneration Vol. 2, this month.
Sevendust is a rock band that released their self-titled debut album, which sold only 310 copies in its first week but ultimately achieved gold certification through touring and support from their label, TVT Records.
Since its formation, Sevendust has achieved success with three consecutive RIAA gold-certified albums, a Grammy nomination, and millions of records worldwide. The group has released a total of fourteen studio albums, including a reissue of their debut album, Sevendust: Definitive Edition, which contains five new tracks and a DVD.Â
