Yome Damon

Yome Damon, 82 of Windermere, Florida passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Yome was born on August 24, 1941 in Buri Ram, Thailand. She was the 3rd oldest of 8. She came to the states in the early 1970s and temporarily lived in Kansas and Tennessee before settling in Florida around 1980. She worked at the Howard Johnson Hotel for many years before getting a job at Walt Disney World. She was a hard worker, loving mother, caring friend, and was a supportive wife of 46 years to Jimmy Damon who passed away in February 2016.

She enjoyed worshiping at the Thai Temple, tending to her garden, and spoiling her grandkids.

Yome is survived by her two sons; James (Kristy) Damon of Winter Springs, and Johnny (Michelle) Damon of Windermere, Ten grandchildren; Jackson, Madelyn, Jake, Kaia, Devon, Danica, Dasha, Daliah, Dreanna, and Dash, Two sisters; Noi Keenan of Orlando, FL, and Kanya Parrish of Killeen, TX, Our caring cousin; Natsatorn “Kong” Nuniam and many loving nieces and nephews.

Her Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Wat Florida Dhammaram Thai Temple, located at 2421 Old Vineland Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34746.
