Mary A. Sullivan

Mary Sullivan, 97, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday February 1, 2024, at Orlando Health at Health Central in Ocoee, Florida.

Mary (Sis) was born on December 4, 1926 in Clifton Springs NY the daughter of the late Marjorie E. (Kinsey) (2001) and Stewart F. McCarrick (1971). She was raised in the Hopewell NY area on the family farms spending time caring for her younger siblings and playing outside with them and her sisterly cousins. She cherished the days spent with her grandparents, affectionately known as “Gram and Grampa Kinsey.”

After marrying her husband George, they eventually settled in Canandaigua. While George managed the family business at HEP Sales, Mary tended to the social side of the business. Together, they explored the world, traveling to various destinations and enjoying life’s adventures. Upon retirement they settled in Deerfield Beach and Vero Beach FL where they shared their love for golf while their warm hospitality endeared them to friends and family alike.

She will be deeply missed by her children Bruce (Karen) Hoven, Eric Hoven, Mari Elizabeth Cole and daughter-in-law Jody Koegler-Hoven. She will also be mourned by her siblings Paul McCarrick and Barbara Harrison along with her stepdaughter Nancy Grantling, numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren and many generations of nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Mary leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Defying any limitations of age, she remained forever young at heart and never saw herself as one of “the old people”. May she rest in peace and may her generous and loving spirit continue to inspire those who knew her.

Mary was predeceased by her husband George (2007), her eldest son, Richard Hoven (2023) and siblings Norman (2003), Virginia (2001), Richard Earl (1945), and Jeanne (2000).
