Law enforcement authorities are trying to identify a suspect wanted for allegedly stealing nearly $2,500 in jewelry from a case at a Walmart in Sanford.
The man featured in this story is wanted in connection with a theft that took place on February 1, 2024 at the Walmart located at 1601 Rinehart Road in Sanford.
According to the Sanford Police Department, during a visit to the store, the man allegedly forced open a jewelry case at the store.
Police say the man then removed several boxes of jewelry from the case and concealed them.
The jewelry had a combined value of approximately $2,475.48, according to police.
The man eventually left the store without paying for the jewelry and entered a white BMW sport utility vehicle.
