A motorcyclist who was killed after he was ejected from his vehicle in Seminole County was propelled into a pedestrian who was walking along a sidewalk.

The fatal accident took place on Sunday, February 11, at around 5:27 p.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 63-year-old man, who was from Winter Springs, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson eastbound on Howell Branch Road, approaching Winterbrook Way.

The man failed to negotiate a curve and, as a result, ran off the right side of the roadway and collided with the curb.

After colliding with the curb, he was thrown from the vehicle and into a 23-year-old woman from Winter Park who was walking eastbound on the south sidewalk along Howell Branch Road.

The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The pedestrian received minor injuries in the incident.
