Anthony Allen Sarp

Anthony Allen Sarp, 55, passed away on February 10, 2024, in Ocoee, FL. Born on September 6, 1968, in Pittsburgh PA, Tony was the beloved son of Eugene and the late Carol Sarp. Tony’s journey through life was marked by a deep love for his family, an unwavering passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and a vibrant spirit that touched the lives of everyone he encountered.

Tony’s early years were spent in Latrobe, PA, within walking distance of the Steelers training camp, igniting a lifelong devotion to the team. His summers were dedicated to capturing numerous Steelers moments through his lens, creating a cherished collection of memories. In his teenage years, Tony and his family relocated to Slidell, LA, where he quickly became a beloved member of the community. Joining the tennis team, Tony’s infectious personality drew countless friends, and in a moment of adversity, the outpouring of support from hundreds of students donating blood showcased the profound impact he had on others.

Relocating to Orlando, Tony continued to build friendships with his gregarious nature. A man of faith, he joined the Men of Holy Family Catholic Church club, actively participating in Friday Fish Fries and charitable events. Tony earned an associate degree in business from Valencia College and found fulfillment working at Disney’s Wide World of Sports and Publix. Despite the distance, he maintained strong connections with friends from Slidell, LA, and Latrobe, PA, showcasing the enduring bonds he forged throughout his life.

In his later years, Tony’s love for the Steelers remained unwavering, and he enjoyed watching sports games with his constant companion, Katie, his black Labrador. He leaves behind a legacy of passion, kindness, and camaraderie.

Tony is survived by his father Eugene, brother Dennis (Colleen), nephews Bailey (Godson), Blake, Brady, and grandniece Paisley. He was predeceased by his mother Carol and stepmother Ruth.

A Mass to celebrate Tony’s life will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on February 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. The memories of Tony’s infectious laughter, warm spirit, and enduring friendships will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
