A 48-year-old Kissimmee woman claimed a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery after cashing in a scratch-off she purchased at a local gas station.
Nargis Banu claimed the $1 million prize from the Billion Dollar Gold Rush Supreme Scratch-Off game at the Florida Lottery’s district office in Orlando this week.
Banu chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $880,000. She purchased the winning ticket from Super Star Food Store, which is located at 1202 Old Polk City Road in Haines City.
The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
Launched in February 2021, the Billion Dollar Gold Rush Supreme Scratch-Off game features four top prizes of $15 million and 24 prizes of $1 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.59.
