Martin Rudolph Lauth IV, known fondly as Marty, passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 65. He was born on May 31, 1958, in Chicago Heights, IL.

Marty was a family-oriented and kind individual, always outgoing and loving, especially towards his family. He also had a keen passion for adventure and loved to travel. Marty worshipped at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and found solace in his faith. Furthermore, he was dedicated to serving the community through leadership positions within the church, scouts, and through his career as a professor. For his service and dedication, he was recognized by the National Lutheran Association on Scouting (NLAS) and was honored with the “Lamb Award.”

Marty is survived by his beloved wife, Gina, and their children: Kristin and her spouse Kevin Noe, and their children Matthew and Emma. He is also survived by his son Ryan Lauth and girlfriend Jess Jenkins, as well as, his daughter Amy and her spouse Mark Adrian, including their 3 children Mark, Kate, and Sarah. Marty is also survived by his sisters Camille Lauth and Holly Mings and her spouse Donald and their son Clay.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Lauth, and his father, Martin Lauth III.

Marty’s educational journey included graduating from Lely High School in ’76. He further pursued his education at Florida International University and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Marty had a successful career with the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller for 26 years. He also shared his expertise and love of aviation as a professor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

He was well-respected by his students and made a positive impact on their lives that they will carry long into their future. In his free time, Marty enjoyed flying, traveling, wining, and dining, playing with his grandkids, and socializing with great friends. He cherished these moments and created lasting memories.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church Lake Mary to honor Marty’s life and legacy. Holy Cross Lutheran Church is located at 960 Paul Hoyer Way, Lake Mary Florida.

Marty Rudolph Lauth IV will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. His kindness, love, and dedication to others will be remembered and cherished forever.
